Buyer Services

Senior Buyer in the general Procurement team, responsible for purchasing and contract management of Energy, IT, and Services. You play a central role in the Services team and provide input for purchasing policy and strategic alignment with stakeholders.

• Completed a HBO or WO education.
• At least 7 years of experience with European tenders, preferably with complex processes that have a significant impact or risk on business operations.
• Experience in developing and further developing strategic procurement policy and advising management and stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement within procurement processes and translating opportunities into concrete improvements.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate technically sound analyses into procurement objectives.

• Drafting and executing tenders, ranging from multiple negotiated to European procedures, primarily for services.
• Leading complex tenders and acting as a point of contact for internal clients and suppliers.
• Developing and implementing category and procurement strategies for various product groups, and coordinating with internal clients, legal affairs, and the Procurement & Supply Chain Board.
• Developing and updating purchasing policy and continuously improving purchasing processes.
• Coaching less experienced colleagues and acting as a senior sparring partner for management and internal clients.
• Translating the wishes and drivers of internal clients into (European) procurement processes, with attention to strategic and sustainability objectives.
• Ensure the smooth running of the tendering process, negotiations and contract conclusion.
• Building proactive relationships with internal customers and suppliers and using IT systems to perform analyses.

Based in Groningen, with the possibility to work partly from home or other locations in the Netherlands. For this assignment, one contract type is preferred: employment and salary classification in accordance with the applicable collective labor agreement. Not suitable for self-employed professionals.

• Hire term: June 1, 2026 to June 1, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
• Fixed 13th month and a 14th benefit.
• 20 vacation days for full-time employment; additional leave days can be purchased via the flexible choice budget up to a maximum of 27,5 days.
• Commuting allowance: €0,23 per km.
• Monthly work-from-home allowance of €24,50 net.
