GIS Specialist

You work within a large digitization program and contribute to the application of GIS solutions. The role focuses on implementation, adoption, and knowledge transfer, and not on strategy or architecture.

• Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level with a technical background (e.g., civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar).
• At least five years of experience in an engineering environment using BIM.
• Demonstrable experience with ArcGIS.
• Experience guiding teams with new working methods or system adoption.
• Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650.
• Affinity with standardization and quality assurance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to make complex subject matter understandable.
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written (minimum B1).

• Developing and improving training material for ArcGIS applications.
• Training and coaching of internal trainers.
• Translating standards and working methods into practical and understandable training courses.
• Supporting teams in applying GIS in projects.
• Identifying differences in working methods and driving uniformity.
• Recording and updating documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
• Coordinating with various internal teams and external partners.
• Promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration among users.
