Description
As a Grid Capacity & Releases Consultant, you bring structure and direction to the chain for grid capacity releases, enabling clients to gain clarity more quickly regarding available capacity on the electricity grid. You make complex releases predictable, executable, and explainable, thereby contributing directly to the energy transition. You oversee the entire release chain, coordinate processes between involved departments, and ensure that technical insights and operational execution align effectively.
Job requirements
- HBO or WO work and thinking level.
- Extensive experience in coordination, project management, or supply chain management within a complex organization.
- Experience with stakeholder management in an environment with conflicting interests.
- Ability to reduce complex information to clear choices and actions.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly extract the core from complex issues.
- Ability to bring people along, organize progress, and maintain control under pressure.
- Switching quickly between content and coordination, and being able to collaborate effectively with specialists and managers.
- Clear communication, the courage to take a stand, and knowing when to take decisive action.
- Preferably experience within the energy sector or with a grid operator.
Tasks
- Ensuring that customers receive faster clarity regarding when there is capacity on the electricity grid.
- Bringing direction, pace, and calm to a process with many dependencies and significant interests.
- Overseeing the entire release chain and drawing up the chain-wide plan for upcoming releases.
- Translating the plan into concrete actions for the involved teams and ensuring that work starts on time.
- Coordinating the entire release cycle and monitoring progress from preparation to completion.
- Identifying bottlenecks, initiating actions, and scaling up where necessary.
- Drafting clear reports on progress, risks, and results.
- Collaborating with Asset Management, Corporate Banking, Production, and Communications, among others, to properly prepare, execute, and complete releases.
- Monitoring decision-making in a dynamic environment and ensuring that decisions are made at the right time.
