Project coordinator
Coordinates preparatory activities and monitors project management aspects for field projects.
Tasks: financial forecasts, planning, risk files, and document management.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and five to ten years of experience in infrastructure projects.
Description
Within Grid Field Operations, work, projects, and maintenance are carried out in the field. The organization ensures the integrity and safety of assets and maximum security of supply. Multiple operational and project teams collaborate with an Execution Management department to effectively organize and direct the execution of activities. The coordinator is responsible for all preparatory activities so that projects can start and complete in accordance with agreements.
Job requirements
- HBO working and thinking level.
- At least five to ten years of recent experience in similar roles (e.g., planner, project coordinator, project control manager) within infrastructure, technically oriented organizations, preferably in the energy sector.
- Affinity with or knowledge of project management packages for costs, time, risks, and documentation (e.g., IFS, Primavera, ARM, Meridian).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; skilled in prioritizing, organizing, and planning.
- Professional, analytical, flexible, and independent; environmentally aware and organizationally sensitive, collaborating with project leaders, team members, and stakeholders.
- Preferred: demonstrable experience with various contract forms (specifications, UAV, UAV-gc) and system-oriented contract management; experience with Prince2 or IPMA.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
Tasks
- Ensuring all preparatory activities are carried out so that projects and work start and complete uninterruptedly in accordance with agreements.
- Two days a week on location in Hoogeveen (preferably Monday and Tuesday) and two days a week from Eemshaven (at least Thursday).
- Monitoring and reporting on the overall quality within projects with regard to all project management aspects (GROTIK).
- Supporting the project leader in preparing project management meetings and reporting status to the lead.
- Preparation and adjustment of monthly and quarterly financial project forecasts (focused on cash flow, ETC, and EAC), including substantiation of deviations.
- Drafting and adjusting monthly and quarterly project schedules aimed at meeting contractual milestone dates and the commissioning date.
- Drafting and adjusting (internal) resource plans per project on a monthly and quarterly basis, and processing and monitoring these from a systemic perspective.
- Draft and update monthly and quarterly risk files per project, and process and monitor them from a systemic perspective.
- In collaboration with the documentalist, manage internal documentation (contract documents, Request for Change, Request for Acceptance) and monitor review times.
- Monitoring of client goods (direct deliveries) to the contractor.
