Commercial Waste Loader
Commercial waste loader who collects business waste in the region together with the driver. Minimum VMBO level, good physical condition, and fluency in Dutch. Works early, outdoors, and makes a direct contribution to sustainability.
Description
As a commercial waste loader, you work early in the morning alongside the driver to collect business waste in the region. You spend a lot of time outdoors, are physically active, and are usually back around 14:00–15:00. Your contribution to a cleaner world is immediately visible.
Job requirements
- Minimum VMBO working and thinking level.
- Speaks and understands Dutch.
- Available for at least four weeks during the summer holidays.
- Good physical condition.
- Flexible regarding working hours and willing to start early.
- Enjoys working outdoors, is reliable, and a true team player.
- Experience is a plus but not required.
- Place of residence within approximately 30 km of Drachten.
Tasks
- Start between 05:45 and 07:00 on location and begins with a short briefing.
- Receives the schedule for the coming week every Thursday.
- Goes out with the driver to collect commercial waste and help companies dispose of their waste properly.
- Recognizes various waste streams and ensures that everything is processed safely and responsibly.
- Tilts, sorts, and moves boxes and packages to the correct location and checks labels.
- Works in accordance with safety regulations, assists colleagues where necessary, and contributes to the smooth execution of operations.
- Stays actively moving during the workday; tasks are varied and require physical effort.
Working conditions
- Weekly or four-weekly payment (always on Wednesday).

You work for a major player in waste processing, active in the industrial sector. The organization has an informal atmosphere and a mission focused on sustainability and reducing CO₂ emissions. With approximately 50 to 100 colleagues in Drachten, the team is committed to a circular economy by collecting, sorting, and processing waste streams.
