G Group Project Buyer
Description
As a Project Buyer, you are involved in new products and technologies from the initial design choices within a multidisciplinary segment team. You collaborate with engineering and product management to integrate suppliers, manufacturability, and cost price into the development process from concept onwards. You report hierarchically to the Segment Lead and work substantively with the Purchase Manager to safeguard supplier policy and contractual frameworks.
Job requirements
- Higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Purchasing, Technical Business Administration, or similar.
- 5–7 years of experience in project or tactical procurement.
- Experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
- Affinity with technical product development.
- Feels ownership of the overall project outcome and thinks in terms of cost structure and total cost of ownership.
- Switches easily between technical, commercial, and operational aspects and dares to make decisions within clear frameworks.
Tasks
- Selecting and developing suppliers for new products.
- Structuring and analyzing cost prices and target cost.
- Challenging design choices from the perspective of supply chain and cost of goods.
- Conducting make-or-buy analyses.
- Negotiating price, tooling, and contract conditions.
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
- Preparing suppliers and contracts for series production and ensuring handover after project completion.
- Collaborate with Segment Lead, Product Manager, Program Manager, Engineers, Quality, and Operations.

- Work under the Metalektro CLA with indicative classification in job group H/J, depending on experience.
