As Team Leader/Project Manager at WSP in Leeuwarden, you lead a team of specialists in soil investigation and combine leadership with practical work. You monitor planning, collaboration, content, and finances, and are responsible for the execution of complex soil and environmental projects.
Job requirements
- Completed higher vocational or university education.
- Extensive experience as a (senior) project leader, project manager, or team leader, preferably within a consultancy or engineering firm.
- Commercial perspective: insight into the question behind the question and the ability to clearly align expectations.
- Goal-oriented and decisive, with a focus on the joint result.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire others and get them moving.
- Affinity with environmental and conditioning research, such as soil, ecology, geotechnics, archaeology, or unexploded ordnance, and the drive to be visible and involved within the team in Leeuwarden.
Tasks
- Providing direction to a team of soil specialists and ensuring a safe, pleasant working environment where quality comes first.
- Managing capacity and results, monitoring budgets, safety, and substantive quality.
- Leading complex projects, often arising from a framework contract with a leading grid operator.
- Maintaining close contact with clients and building sustainable client relationships.
- Acquiring assignments, initiating and managing procurement and tenders, and preparing cost estimates.
- Managing subcontractors and external partners and monitoring the coherence of activities.
- Maintaining an overview and taking responsibility from preparation to execution.
