Description
A new fully electric baby food factory in Heerenveen is seeking a supervisor who ensures the production process runs safely, efficiently, and with high quality. The role contributes to an environment where safety, quality, the environment, and output are in balance.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional education, preferably in Business Administration or Food Technology.
- Experience in a production environment, preferably within the food industry.
- Affinity with process management, technology, and quality management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate people.
- Affinity with self-organizing teams and experience coaching team leaders towards autonomy.
- Pragmatic, down-to-earth approach and a sense of humor.
- Leadership combined with analytical skills and an eye for potential for improvement.
Tasks
- Leading a self-organizing production team and managing the realization of production objectives.
- Translating goals into concrete actions and clear priorities.
- Outlining frameworks for self-organizing teams, in collaboration with the team coach, so that they know what they can decide independently.
- Promoting collaboration within teams and supporting decision-making.
- Monitoring the long-term production planning together with master planning.
- Monitoring performance based on KPIs and reporting results.
- Encouraging the team to proactively propose and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with Technology, Technical Service, QA, and the Corporate EPC team for project realization, with support from HR and Finance where necessary.
- Promoting a culture where safety and cleanliness are a matter of course.
- Setting up, staffing, and executing initiatives together with the Management Team and co-determining the strategic direction of the location.
- Being visible in the workplace, addressing colleagues where necessary, and paying attention to the person behind the work.
- Setting priorities based on a helicopter view and technical insights, and communicating these to production personnel.
