The water board is seeking an entrepreneur to give the renovated, monumental Middelpolder Pumping Station a sustainable and socially responsible new purpose.
Job requirements
- Entrepreneurial skills and experience in setting up and running a business.
- A vision for a sustainable and socially responsible use of the building.
- Affinity with or knowledge of themes within the water sector, such as water management, water purification, sustainable energy, or education.
- Willingness to cooperate with the water board and the local community.
Tasks
- Developing and realizing a sustainable, socially relevant use for the pumping station.
- Setting up and operating a business in the building, for example a visitor center, educational center, test or demonstration center, hospitality venue, or event location.
- Testing and implementing innovations in the field of water management, water purification, or sustainable energy.
- Collaborating with the water board and the local community on plan development and implementation.
- Ensuring successful business operations and the continuation of the initiative.
