Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you are involved early in the design of offshore systems. You work within the Control Systems department, a team of approximately five electrical engineers that collaborates closely with Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Software Engineers. The team possesses a high level of technical expertise and is involved in the design, construction, and long-term maintenance of innovative products.
Job requirements
- Completed HBO or MBO education in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Affinity with heavy mechanical engineering and/or maritime technology.
- Experience with or willingness to perform electrical calculations (e.g., electric motors, short-circuit resistance).
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented work attitude; proactive and independent.
- Good communication skills in Dutch and English, both oral and written.
- Knowledge and work experience with EPLAN is an advantage.
Tasks
- Developing electrical and control concepts into detailed designs, including schematics and bills of materials.
- Designing control systems and selecting the right components.
- Advising and assisting Commissioning Engineers during system commissioning.
- Technical designs in accordance with requirements, standards and functional specifications.
- System validation based on set criteria.
- Reporting and advising on technical solutions for multiple products simultaneously.
- Conducting technical investigations and keeping up with developments in the field.
- Drafting and updating technical documentation.
- Answering technical questions during design, production, assembly, testing, installation and service.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration in product concept development.
