Job requirements
- Completed technical training at MBO level (level 3 or 4).
- Preferably several years of relevant work experience.
- Good oral and written command of the Dutch and English languages.
- Strong oral communication skills; communicate information clearly and convincingly in groups and one-on-one situations.
Tasks
- Responsible for the complete and correct delivery of systems, including gangways and motion-compensated cranes.
- Working proactively with a hands-on mentality and monitoring quality during realization projects in collaboration with the foreman.
- Working at the location in Drachten and traveling to worldwide locations multiple times a year to deliver SMST equipment together with a coordinator.
- Assembling finished products with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Ensuring proper connection and fastening of components, structural and assembled parts, and checking this during the process.
- Extra attention to cleanliness throughout the entire process of hydraulic lines and components.
- Understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic drawings and transfer information to local engineers.
- Overseeing the intersection of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical.
- Organizing toolboxes and supporting the shipyard in complex operations such as lifting operations, welding towers and installing cranes and gangways on flanges.
- Performing pressure testing and flushing on site according to prescribed protocols.
- Delivering correctly completed (torque) procedures.
- Participate in evaluations to improve the installation process.
Working conditions
- Works primarily during the day; flexibility required for irregular hours and weekend shifts.
- When working abroad, a 12-hour day shift is common.
- Availability approximately three times a year, for 2–3 weeks each time, at client sites for installation work.
