Description
As an Environment Manager, you are responsible for the environment during the preparatory and/or execution phase of projects. You develop participation and communication strategies and act as the point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project.
Job requirements
- Relevant higher professional or university degree, for example in communication, public administration, or spatial planning.
- Demonstrable experience as an environmental manager and several years of experience in processes and participation surrounding area developments, preferably in large, complex projects.
- Affinity with (energy) technology.
- Working in a solution-oriented manner, with clear plans and contingency plans for risks.
- Empathy and a good political antenna for engaging and informing stakeholders.
- Collaborative, communicates clearly, and is able to maintain an overview in coordinating roles.
Tasks
- Developing and implementing participation and communication strategies.
- Monitoring issue management and organizing stakeholder management.
- Securing wishes and technical requirements gathered from the environment.
- Creating conditions for optimal collaboration with municipalities, partners, fellow grid operators, and contractors on large-scale projects.
- Maintaining contact with municipalities, project managers, contractors, local residents, businesses, and landowners.
- Sharing project information in an appropriate manner (e.g. letters, residents' evenings, informal discussions).
- Acting as the point of contact for the local community within the project team and collaborating with project managers, planning lawyers/urban planners, permit advisors, land managers, and engineers.
