Description

As an Environment Manager, you are responsible for the environment during the preparatory and/or execution phase of projects. You develop participation and communication strategies and act as the point of contact for stakeholders throughout the project.

Job requirements

  • Relevant higher professional or university degree, for example in communication, public administration, or spatial planning.
  • Demonstrable experience as an environmental manager and several years of experience in processes and participation surrounding area developments, preferably in large, complex projects.
  • Affinity with (energy) technology.
  • Working in a solution-oriented manner, with clear plans and contingency plans for risks.
  • Empathy and a good political antenna for engaging and informing stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, communicates clearly, and is able to maintain an overview in coordinating roles.

Tasks

  • Developing and implementing participation and communication strategies.
  • Monitoring issue management and organizing stakeholder management.
  • Securing wishes and technical requirements gathered from the environment.
  • Creating conditions for optimal collaboration with municipalities, partners, fellow grid operators, and contractors on large-scale projects.
  • Maintaining contact with municipalities, project managers, contractors, local residents, businesses, and landowners.
  • Sharing project information in an appropriate manner (e.g. letters, residents' evenings, informal discussions).
  • Acting as the point of contact for the local community within the project team and collaborating with project managers, planning lawyers/urban planners, permit advisors, land managers, and engineers.
