Project Manager Wind Energy
Description
We are seeking an experienced professional to coordinate and execute the 'Wind Energy Exploration Ruinerwold-Noord', including setting up and leading the participation process and advising on administrative decision-making. The position entails involvement in regional cooperation regarding wind energy and preparing decision-making documents for official and administrative commissioning.
Job requirements
- Demonstrably completed education at least at higher professional education bachelor level.
- At least 3 years of demonstrable work experience leading politically sensitive programs and projects with societal impact; please include concrete examples in your CV.
- Requirements: at least 3 years of experience as a project manager within onshore wind energy and the energy transition; experience speaking to groups and connecting parties is desirable.
- Competencies: high administrative sensitivity; goal- and result-oriented work while maintaining collegial relationships; strong oral and written skills.
- Proficiency in Dutch is required.
Tasks
- Leading the exploration into wind energy and the associated participation process on behalf of the municipality.
- Organizing and facilitating participation meetings with residents, energy cooperatives, and village interest groups.
- Conducting research into alternatives to wind energy.
- Drafting communication and necessary documents for decision-making directed at civil service and administrative clients, the Municipal Executive, and the Municipal Council.
- Point of contact and representative on behalf of the municipality during meetings within the participation process.
- Active involvement in regional cooperation with surrounding municipalities and the province, and advising on administrative decision-making.
- Liaising and connecting with diverse stakeholders and handling politically sensitive dossiers.
Working conditions
The position can be filled via secondment or interim; both self-employment and salaried employment options are open for discussion. Rate agreements are made prior to a proposal. After agreement on the financial terms, the proposal for the client is prepared. Concrete result agreements are further defined after the start.

The Cooperation Organization carries out municipal tasks with over 900 employees and provides services to approximately 80.000 residents of two municipalities, making it the second-largest municipal organization in Drenthe. The organization distinguishes itself by working for two different municipalities and is centrally located and easily accessible.
