Team Leader

As a Team Leader, you lead a team and contribute to the safe and sustainable processing of hazardous waste at the Veendam location.

You manage approximately 12 employees within a team of about 50 colleagues.

• Minimum HBO working and thinking level.
• Chemical knowledge.
• Several years of managerial experience.
• Able to maintain an overview and work in a structured manner.
• Knowledge of and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Frequently visible and present in the workplace; uncooperative.
• Strong communication and organisational skills, analytical, connecting, and socially skilled.
• Sense of responsibility and alertness to current affairs.

• Managing hazardous waste streams such as oil, paint, hospital waste, and batteries.
• Controlling and managing processes according to strict quality and safety requirements.
• Supervising truck unloading procedures and the entry inspection of work activities.
• Organizing the daily (bulk) removal of hazardous waste, often intended for reuse or beneficial application.
• Maintain consultation with foremen, laboratory technicians, branch manager, site underwriter, and HSE employee.
• Driving improvements in sorting and processing methods with regard to quality and safety.
• Planning and personnel matters on the work floor, including scheduling and employee coaching.

• Direct full-time employment.
