As a shovel operator in waste processing, you operate the shovel, process organic waste, and support the operator in keeping installations running.
You work at the heart of a dynamic process with a daily impact on sustainability and recycling.
Job requirements
- Driving license T (mandatory).
- Experience as a shovel operator, tractor driver, or similar.
- VMBO+/MBO work and thinking level.
- VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one.
- Residing in the Wijster region and having access to own transport.
- Work independently, safely, and take initiative.
- Prerequisite: train driver's license.
- Prerequisite: Emergency Response Certificate.
- Preferred: experience in waste processing or engineering.
Tasks
- Operating the shovel and processing organic waste and other waste streams.
- Assisting the operator in keeping installations running.
- Identifying malfunctions and resolving them on-site together with the operator.
- Working in facilities such as composting halls, organic waste digesters, and biogas plants.
- Serve as the eyes and ears of the operator outside the control room.
- Ensuring a safe and efficient course of the process.
- Contributing ideas for improvements and carrying out preventive maintenance.
