Description
As a Mechanical Service Technician at Heijmans Utiliteit Services in Drachten, you work independently or with colleagues at locations in Friesland, Groningen, and Drenthe. You ensure that mechanical installations continue to function reliably and safely through maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer contact. You work in a fixed team, suggest improvements, and supervise interns.
Job requirements
- Minimum MBO-3 diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in a similar position within the utilities sector.
- Practical mindset; you see opportunities and actively contribute ideas.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional knowledge; ability to work independently and coordinate with the supervisor and client.
- In possession of driving license B.
- VCA VOL.
- Valid Certificate of Conduct.
Tasks
- Performing service and maintenance work on mechanical installations, such as central heating boilers, air handling units, water-side installations, geothermal energy systems, and measurement and control systems.
- Detecting and resolving malfunctions so that buildings remain technically stable, safe, and reliable.
- Act as a point of contact for the customer: proper registration, clear communication, and proactive thinking within contractual agreements.
- Proposing innovative improvements with an eye for sustainability.
- Collaborating with colleagues and other technical specialists, and coordinating with the client and supervisor.
- Digital tracking of work orders and time registration.
- Supervising interns and transferring professional knowledge.
- Participate in the on-call service once every eight weeks.
Working conditions
- Permanent contract from the start.
- Remuneration and additional allowance of €150 gross per month for participation in the on-call service.
