Design & Engineer Power

As a Design & Proposal Engineer Power at Eekels' Kolham location, you will work on challenges related to the energy transition for the maritime market. You will translate customer requirements into sustainable technical concepts and provide the technical input for commercial proposals.

• Completed higher professional education; a degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Technology is a plus.
• Number of years of relevant work experience in a similar position.
• Experience in the maritime and/or offshore market is an advantage.
• Passion for sustainability and the application of energy conversion techniques.
• Good communication skills, flexibility and a high sense of responsibility.
• The ability to think in a solution-oriented way and explain complex subjects clearly.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written.

• Actively participate in various energy transition issues.
• Analyzing customer inquiries and, together with technical specialists, advising on the technology to be offered.
• Determining the offer strategy together with the manager.
• Requesting and assessing offers from suppliers.
• Preparation of the complete technical and commercial quotation, including cost price calculations.
• Contribute to the standardization of system solutions.

The Systems business unit operates under the brand name Marpower and is a leading player in power converters and automation solutions for the maritime and offshore market.

The unit develops, manufactures, and supplies power electronics for energy storage, hybrid electric marine propulsion, DC distribution systems, grid conversion, and shore power connections. These systems are automated by the Marpower Automation platform for power and energy management, vessel performance monitoring, and the secure provision of data via the Marpower Data Portal.

In this position, you will become part of the sales team of the Systems business unit. The organisation is backed by TBI Holdings, a financially strong parent company with multiple subsidiaries.
