The Team Manager Operations manages a team and sits on the management team of the Realization department.

Description
As Team Manager Operations, you lead your own team and are part of the management team of the Realization department at the Emmen location. You are visible on the work floor, monitor progress, and ensure that the work package is executed safely and on schedule.
Job requirements
- Extensive industry experience or at least five years of management experience in a technical environment.
- HBO working and thinking level with a technical education.
- A business administration or electrical/gas engineering background is an advantage.
- Insight into the practices of a technical sector where technicians work remotely.
- People-oriented institution.
- Competencies: committed and inspiring, critically reflective, decisive and exemplary, safety as the highest priority, eager to learn with an eye for improvement, steadfast and open listening attitude.
- Experience in managing production processes, for example as an executor, project leader or team manager in a production environment.
Tasks
- Leading the team and participating in the department's management team.
- Together with the department manager and fellow team managers, determine the strategic direction and translate it into team goals.
- Monitoring progress and reporting on the realization of the work package.
- Be visibly present on the work floor and take people, capacity, and work processes into account to enable execution according to schedule.
- Clearly indicate what needs to be done and steer this creatively and proactively.
- Encouraging the development of team members and intervening when necessary.
- Identifying and implementing improvements and necessary behavioral changes.
- Staying in control of performance indicators and managing production performance.
- Responsible for the well-being, job satisfaction, and development of the team and individual colleagues in the short and medium term.
- Acting as the point of contact for HR matters within the line, with support from HR.
- Contribute to optimizing existing processes and designing new processes.
Working conditions
Not self-employed; the position involves partial remote work (approximately 50/50) and some flexibility in working hours.
Description of the organization
The Emmen branch is part of Productie Noord, which consists of four branches in Groningen, Drenthe, and Overijssel, the Production Streets, and Strategic Resource Management. The branch is responsible for the development and construction of new energy networks (engineering and construction) and for maintenance and troubleshooting of the existing network. The Realisation department is organized into eight teams and has approximately 160 employees.
