As a Mechanical BIM Modeler, you design and coordinate technical installations for buildings using 3D BIM software.
Job requirements
- Completed training in mechanical engineering or installation technology.
- Experience with designing and modeling mechanical installations in a BIM environment, preferably with HVAC and piping systems.
- Experience with BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, or specific installation drawing programs.
- Competencies: team player, analytical and accurate.
Tasks
As a Mechanical BIM Modeler, you design technical installations in buildings, such as heating systems, ventilation, air conditioning, and water pipes, using 3D BIM software. You accurately determine the placement of pipes, ventilation ducts, and other installations, taking into account available space and technical requirements. You perform clash detection and adjust designs early to prevent conflicts. You coordinate the model with engineers, electrical modelers, and contractors, and ensure that the various installations work well together.
