Description

As a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will work both in the workshop in Emmen and on location at clients in Drenthe and Overijssel. You will carry out work for clients in sectors such as gas, oil, energy, (petro)chemicals, food, and pharmaceuticals. The role contributes to solving technical issues and ensuring the optimal functioning of mechanical installations.

Job requirements

  • Completed MBO education in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with maintenance and commissioning of mechanical installations.
  • VCA certification, or willingness to obtain it through the employer.
  • Knowledge of technical diagrams, materials, and welding and cutting techniques.
  • Driving license and own transport.

Tasks

  • Installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining systems, equipment, and technical installations.
  • Locating, diagnosing, and resolving malfunctions.
  • Performing inspections, checks, and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinating activities and managing (lead) mechanical engineers.
  • Advising clients on technical issues and initiating improvement proposals.
  • Working in accordance with applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Providing operating instructions and guidance during the commissioning of installations.
