Description

As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you guide the asset management of electrical installations within Storage and Terminals. You monitor and optimize the balance between safety, availability, environmental impact, and costs, with specific attention to the integrity of terminals and underground storage facilities. You develop and maintain technical policies aimed at sustainable asset management and contribute to high reliability and safety at the lowest possible lifecycle costs. Workplace: office in Groningen; hybrid working is an option.

Job requirements

  • Completed higher professional education in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or similar.
  • At least five years of demonstrable work experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
  • Good command of spoken and written Dutch or English.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Analytical and results-oriented; takes initiative and addresses bottlenecks proactively and solution-oriented.
  • Capable of quickly grasping complex issues and organizing work in a goal-oriented manner, with attention to various interests.

Tasks

  • Providing in-depth technical expertise within projects and being involved from an early stage in the development, expansion, and modification of assets.
  • Conducting feasibility studies, scope definitions, and concept selections, and translating these into robust, secure, and future-proof technical solutions.
  • Recording technical principles, design parameters, and boundary conditions in line with laws and regulations, applicable norms, and technical standards.
  • Developing and assessing functional designs (FD), basic designs (FD), and detailed designs (FD), and testing them for safety, reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle costs.
  • Managing and assessing external engineering parties on quality, compliance, and consistency with standards.
  • Coordinating test, inspection, and commissioning plans and arranging maintenance for the operational phase.
  • Managing, further developing, and applying technical standards and disseminating them organization-wide; acting as a knowledge holder and advisor on technical and operational issues.
