  • Advising on and developing environmental policy in the areas of soil, air (odor), external safety, and nitrogen.
  • Advising administrators, residents, farmers, entrepreneurs, and colleagues on topics with a direct impact on the quality of the living environment.
  • Advising on spatial plans and environmental policy for internal and external projects.
  • Ensuring connection and coordination between the municipality and the ODG.
  • Guiding enforcement and permitting processes with administrative impact.
  • Ensuring the advice of the Board.
  • Budget holder for the budgeted resources for environmental tasks.
  • Representing the municipality in regional and provincial consultations, including those concerning external safety, the Clean Air Agreement, and soil.
  • Specific soil tasks: consultation with ODG and the provincial soil consultation body (Nazca), providing soil information to third parties, handling inquiries regarding earthworks, assessing soil investigations (possibly in collaboration with ODG), and drafting/implementing soil-related projects such as a new soil quality map, a field service earthworks manual, and BRO implementation.
  • Identifying and applying national developments in the environmental field.
