Description of the organization
A progressive chemical production company and market leader that produces and processes super-strong aramid fibers (Twaron). The foundation of the fiber is laid at a production site in Delfzijl; further processing takes place at a large production facility in Emmen. The Emmen division specializes in refining aramid fibers and performs various processes that impart specific properties to fibers and yarns, such as twisting, averaging, assembling, creasing, and processing yarns into pulp. Twaron pulp is primarily used in gaskets and brake shoes, in addition to various other smaller markets. Production operates in five shifts, typically composed of a unit manager, two senior operators, six mechanical operators, and seven basic operators, where teamwork is of great importance.
