Description

As an industrial mechanical engineer, you will strengthen one of our industrial teams of approximately 10 to 15 colleagues. You will independently tackle mechanical engineering challenges within multidisciplinary projects, with a focus on piping, installations, and grids.

Job requirements

  • Completed higher professional or university degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Approximately five years of relevant experience, preferably at an engineering firm or in an engineering team at a plant.
  • Experience with mechanical engineering in an industrial environment, with a clear focus on piping.
  • Experience with Inventor, SolidWorks, and/or Plant3D, or the motivation to quickly master these packages.
  • You enjoy collaborating with various disciplines, take initiative, and devise smart, practical solutions for complex issues.

Tasks

  • Designing and developing practical, manufacturable solutions for industrial installations.
  • Translating process and customer requirements into designs and specifications.
  • Testing and developing designs and models.
  • Selecting equipment and drafting specifications.
  • Assessing supplier information and assisting with implementation questions.
  • Coordinating with the lead engineer or project manager and collaborating closely with other disciplines.
  • Mentoring junior mechanical engineers where necessary.
  • Working on projects such as the electrification of installations, the application of Mechanical Vapor Recompressors, and the expansion of electrical infrastructure.

Working conditions

You work in a hybrid capacity: regularly at the office with your team, occasionally at the client's plant, and from home whenever work permits.
