Groundwater Supervisor
The Groundwater Supervisor conducts field inspections and assesses monitoring reports for groundwater and geothermal energy.
Required: higher professional education level, at least one year of experience, and knowledge of the Environment and Planning Act and BAL.
Secondment involving assignment at a client and a hybrid base in Grou.
Description
As a supervisor of groundwater, geothermal energy, and geothermal energy systems, you monitor groundwater quality and the responsible application of geothermal energy systems. You make a direct contribution to the protection of the environment and health through supervision and enforcement in the field and based on case files.
The role is varied and challenging, with room for personal initiative, decision-making, and professional development.
Job requirements
- HBO working and thinking level.
- At least 1 year of demonstrable experience with groundwater, geothermal energy (WKO and/or GBES) or water legislation.
- Thorough knowledge of the Environment and Planning Act and the Decree on Activities in the Living Environment (BAL).
- Experience with conducting field inspections and the associated administrative processing.
- Capable of conducting independent supervision and making well-considered decisions.
- In possession of driving license B.
- Proactive, decisive, technically skilled, pragmatic, and solution-oriented.
- Managerial sensitivity and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Tasks
- Conducting physical inspections of groundwater extractions and geothermal energy systems (WKO/GBES).
- Assessing annual statements, registrations, and monitoring reports.
- Assessing compliance with permits, notifications, and general rules (Environmental Planning Act / BAL).
- Identifying and recording violations and drawing up inspection reports.
- Assessing groundwater quality and hydrological data.
- Checking energy balance and source sealing in WKO systems.
- Checking installation quality and leak tightness in GBES systems.
- Handling reports, complaints, and inquiries from citizens and businesses.
- Coordinating with legal experts and colleagues during enforcement proceedings.
- Advising on improvement measures and contributing to the further development of supervision.
