Mechanical Engineering Service Technician

As a service technician, you contribute to a healthy and comfortable indoor climate in non-residential buildings through maintenance and troubleshooting of building-related installations.

• Minimum MBO-4 education level in installation technology.
• At least two years of work experience in installation technology and maintenance.
• Driving License B.
• Good command of the Dutch language.
• VCA VOL (can be obtained upon appointment if not yet available).
• Presentable, customer-oriented attitude and good written reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and remain professional during malfunctions or problems.

• Maintenance and overhaul of air handling units, boilers, heat pumps, heaters, and building management systems.
• Project-based execution of maintenance work on installations and building management systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex malfunctions; approximately one week of on-call duty every 8–10 weeks, including evening and weekend availability.
• Contributing ideas and advising on the sustainability and improvement of installations.
• Coordinate arrangements and activities with users and building management to minimize disruption during meetings, operations, or classes.
• Preparing clear reports upon completion of work.

The Utilities division, Maintenance department, executes management and maintenance contracts for a wide range of clients such as schools, healthcare institutions, museums, and town halls.

Within contracts, you work in a fixed, multidisciplinary team of approximately 20–30 employees, including contract managers, service coordinators, service mechanics, and technicians in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, measurement & control technology, and security.
