Sustainability Coordinator
A coordinating role for managing and implementing sustainability programs within the organization.
Responsibilities: program management, policy development, and acting as the point of contact for environmental and energy matters.
Requirements: completed higher professional education and experience with management and project leadership within complex organizations.

You are part of the Innovation & Projects team, an energetic team consisting of five project leaders and a team leader.
Job requirements
You are a skilled, enthusiastic, and collaborative coordinator who works proactively, critically, and with integrity. You can easily adapt within a complex organization, are stress-resistant, and know how to constructively turn resistance into collaboration.
- Completed higher professional education.
- Demonstrable experience in (substantively) managing employees and external clients, for example as a project leader.
- Affinity with sustainability and willingness to obtain a training certificate.
- Experience with policy development, program management, drafting reports, and working according to the PDCA cycle.
- Knowledge of the healthcare sector is a plus.
Tasks
- Act as a point of contact for environmental and energy matters.
- Connecting sustainability with daily care practice.
- Responsible for program management, developing policy proposals, and reporting on progress.
- Initiating, setting up, and coordinating sustainability projects within the organization.
- Driving sustainability, connecting people, and following up on opportunities and stagnation.
- Collaborate with a fellow project manager and divide tasks.
- Monitoring laws and regulations in the field of environment and sustainability and translating them into applicable policy.
- Sharing knowledge and promoting sustainable awareness within the organization.

- Employment conditions in accordance with the VVT collective labor agreement.
- Contract for a period of one year, with the intention of converting it to an indefinite contract upon satisfactory performance.

Description of the organization
Together, we provide appropriate support to people in East Groningen during a vulnerable phase of their lives, both at home and in eleven nursing homes, including an expertise center.

We are actively working with a Green Team on MPZ-related themes such as real estate, energy, water, air, sustainable transport, food, and the development of a CO₂ roadmap. Currently, projects related to waste separation are underway, among others.
