Description

Furnace operator with spatial awareness and a feel for heavy equipment. You are at the start of the silicon carbide production process, ensuring that furnaces are assembled, raw materials are mixed according to specifications, and the product is extracted and fed through after the process. You guarantee the safety, quality, and continuity of the process with craftsmanship.

Job requirements

  • Practical, works safely, and has good spatial awareness.
  • Familiar with heavy equipment and takes responsibility for the work.
  • Preferably a completed technical education at MBO-2 level (e.g., civil engineering, agriculture, mechanical engineering, or process engineering).
  • Valid shovel certificate and VCA, or willing to obtain them.
  • Experience with heavy rolling stock is a plus.
  • Team-oriented, proactive work attitude; work attitude and driving skills are more important than diplomas alone.
  • Safety is always number one.

Tasks

  • Construction and dismantling of ovens using excavators and cranes, including foil and spray lines.
  • Supplying, sorting, and mixing raw materials according to specifications.
  • Reducing and sieving material.
  • Sampling of old and reaction material.
  • Building up silicon carbide (SiC) and graphite using machines and transferring them to processing.
  • Repairing furnace beds and cleaning transformer buildings.
  • Keep water drainage systems clear and move furnace material.
  • Performing checks on rolling stock and identifying and reporting deviations and malfunctions.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Working conditions

  • Full-time employment in a rotating 2-shift system (07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00), in a 7-day cycle, with one out of every four weekends off.
  • 25% shift allowance and other allowances.
