Description

As a laboratory technician, you act as the technological conscience through physical and wet-chemical analyses of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products. You translate analysis figures into clear recommendations that determine the composition the furnace company mixes, and you also perform analyses on utilities such as water, flue gas, gas, carbon, and sulfur.

Job requirements

  • Completed laboratory training at MBO-4 level or equivalent.
  • Preferably experience within a process or production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and quality orientation.
  • Accurate, independent, proactive, and team-oriented work attitude.
  • Great interest in chemistry and a keen safety awareness.

Tasks

  • Coordinating with production regarding planning and sample delivery; you will spend approximately 25% of your time in the factory for sampling and coordination with operations.
  • Pre-treatment of samples (drying, breaking, dividing, grinding).
  • Performing standard physical and chemical analyses according to established methods.
  • Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining analytical equipment.
  • Interpreting and testing analysis results against product specifications.
  • Recording and reporting results to internal clients.
  • Contribute to project analyses and methodology development; update procedures and the quality manual.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in analysis methods and equipment.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

  • Laboratory (ensures the quality of raw materials, residues, finished products, and water quality).
