Mechanical Engineering graduation internship for HBO or WO students who wish to apply their analytical skills to innovative solutions in the energy transition, process safety, or engineering, and add direct value to sustainable projects in a professional advisory environment.
Job requirements
- You are pursuing a higher professional or university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy & Environment, or a similar field.
- Passion for sustainability and technology.
- Analytical and planning skills; ability to work well independently and in a team.
- Clear communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and flexibility in approach.
- A curious attitude and a willingness to develop yourself broadly.
Tasks
- Formulating a suitable and challenging graduation assignment within an area of expertise.
- Conduct in-depth research into current issues in the fields of energy, safety, or technology.
- Developing and researching technical solutions, substantiated by data, calculations, and practical insight.
- Executing process designs and technical calculations for sustainable installations such as (bio)gas generation and heating systems.
- Working on process safety themes such as explosion safety, WBDA assessment, and safe design within legislation and regulations.
- Investigating sustainability options such as off-grid systems, heat visions, and feasibility studies.
- Calculating and optimizing the Carbon Intensity (CI) score within green gas projects and analyzing the impact of design choices and process optimizations on this score.
- Present results professionally, link them to concrete recommendations, and contribute to implementation; take responsibility for your own project and potentially assist in the execution of the advice.
- Collaborating with experienced colleagues in multidisciplinary project teams.
