Spatial Planning Advisor at the Municipality of Het Hogeland, start date July 1, 2026. You will work in a municipality with diverse landscapes and economic dynamism, from the Eemshaven to characteristic villages.

You are an enthusiastic, independent professional who seeks collaboration and clearly substantiates complex issues.
- HBO working and thinking level.
- Preferably a completed education in spatial planning, urban planning, environmental law, public administration, or similar.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience within the spatial domain.
- Knowledge of spatial procedures and the Environment and Planning Act.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Sense of political and administrative relations.
Tasks
- Guiding spatial and planning procedures.
- Assessing spatial initiatives and permit applications.
- Advising on and contributing to the Environment Plan and other spatial policy.
- Coordinating with colleagues within disciplines such as housing, ecology, economics, and infrastructure.
- Maintaining contact with residents, initiators, consultancy firms, and other external parties.
- Advising the board, management, project leaders, and colleagues on spatial issues.
- Translating laws and regulations into practical and legally sound solutions.
