General Manager responsible for P&L and management of the Emmen location.
Manages strategy, operations, safety, maintenance, and stakeholder contact at a producer in the circular economy.
Requirements: BSc/MSc and at least ten years of management experience in production with P&L responsibility.

Newly created position as General Manager at Cumapol Polyester Upgrading in Emmen. You report to the shareholders.
Job requirements

Tasks
- Bears P&L responsibility for the location in Emmen (approximately 40 employees).
- Directly manages the Plant Manager, Office Manager, and HR Advisor.
- Is responsible for business operations and processes, including financial accounting, administration, and reporting.
- Ensures compliance with and implementation of occupational health and safety, and compliance requirements.
- Determines the strategic direction and develops it with the Management Team.
- Draws up annual budgets, production and personnel plans, and safeguards the strategy in the multi-year plan.
- Monitors progress, adjusts where necessary, and ensures that relevant stakeholders remain involved.
- Together with the Plant Manager, monitors the condition and lifespan of production installations, plans timely maintenance, and makes investment proposals.
- Defines (functional) responsibilities and authorities to create calm, structure, and predictability.
- Ensures a safe and healthy working environment and implements appropriate HRM policy.
- Ensures that the operation complies with applicable laws and regulations and maintains contact with competent authorities such as the Tax and Customs Administration, Statistics Netherlands (CBS), and the Environment and Planning Service.
- Collaborates at a strategic and tactical level with external parties such as suppliers and utility companies.

Description of the organization
Cumapol Polyester Upgrading manufactures specialty raw materials for polyester products and possesses modern production and research facilities in Emmen and Zevenaar. Through collaboration with sister organizations, the organization develops and produces unique products and offers services such as regranulation, compounding, and polymerization. Cumapol recycles large numbers of PET bottles daily into valuable raw materials suitable for food contact and also develops new raw materials. With its products and services, Cumapol supports the packaging industry, among others, in producing circular PET and continuously reusing it.
