Description

As a shovel operator in waste processing, you are indispensable on the shop floor and contribute daily to sustainability and recycling.

Job requirements

  • Driving license T (mandatory).
  • Experience as a shovel operator, tractor driver, or similar.
  • VMBO+/MBO work and thinking level.
  • VCA certificate or willing to obtain one.
  • Living in the Wijster region and own transport.
  • Ability to work independently, safely, and with initiative.
  • Preferred: machine operator's diploma, emergency response certificate, experience in waste processing or engineering.

Tasks

  • Operating the shovel and processing organic waste.
  • Assisting the operator in keeping installations running.
  • Identifying malfunctions and resolving them on-site together with the operator.
  • Working in facilities such as composting halls, organic waste digesters, and biogas plants.
  • Serve as the eyes and ears of the operator outside the control room.
  • Ensuring a safe and efficient course of the process.
  • Actively contribute ideas for improvements and carry out preventive maintenance.
