Description

As a (junior) environmental advisor for civil projects, you work hands-on on projects in the Northern Netherlands, particularly during the execution phase. You oversee projects ranging from quay and bridge restoration to nature development, ensuring that permits, studies, and coordination with the local community are properly managed. You do not design yourself, but you supervise execution and interpret designs and drawings where necessary.

Job requirements

  • HBO or university background, for example in environmental science, spatial planning, technical spatial planning, civil engineering, or similar.
  • Hands-on attitude and willingness to take responsibility in civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding designs and drawings.
  • Willingness to come to the office in Nieuwegein at least once every two weeks (later approximately once a month).
  • Proactive communication attitude: you pick up the phone, conduct conversations on location, and create an overview.

Tasks

  • Supervising infrastructure projects during the execution phase, such as quay and bridge repair and work under framework agreements.
  • Arranging permits and conditional studies and coordinating the schedule with involved parties.
  • Coordinating and aligning with municipalities, permit issuers, contractors, residents, and internal project managers.
  • Translating design drawings and legal/research requirements into workable agreements in the field.
