Job requirements

Tasks

  • Assessing permit applications from agricultural businesses.
  • Assessing the environmental impact of (new) business activities and applying relevant laws and regulations.
  • Reviewing odor and particulate matter calculations and identifying which specialists need to be engaged.
  • Assessing the contributions of engaged specialists and monitoring the scheduling of legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow permit issuers, legal experts, and environmental inspectors, and advise municipalities and the province.
  • Visiting companies for on-site assessment and participating in knowledge networks.
  • Contribute to substantive team development, conduct 4-eyes checks, and provide knowledge contributions during professional meetings.
