Description
Two lecturer positions in the Department of Accounting & Auditing to strengthen teaching and educational activities, focusing on course delivery, coordination and development across bachelor and master programs. The exact portfolio of educational tasks depends on expertise and experience, with room for adjustments within the department's teaching demand.
Job requirements
- At least an MSc degree in Business Administration, (Business) Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Fluent in Dutch and English in speech and writing.
- Passion for teaching and excellent teaching skills.
- Committed to contributing to the design, organization and delivery of high-quality education.
- Team player with good communication skills who can inspire students and colleagues.
Tasks
- Teach, coordinate and develop courses offered by the department across several bachelor and master programs (for example in management and financial accounting).
- Grade exams and assignments.
- Supervision of BSc theses.
- Contribute to the further development of teaching, including incorporation of relevant societal, professional and technological developments into the curriculum.
- Take courses or training modules to acquire knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
- Contribute to a positive climate within the department and the faculty, especially in the domain of education.
Working conditions
- Temporary position of three years; a positive evaluation after one year is required for continuation.
- Workload allocation: in the first two years 80% teaching, 10% innovation and course development, and 10% professionalization and/or development of teaching skills; thereafter 90% teaching.
- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch universities: €4.728–€6.433 gross per month (salary scale 11) for full-time employment.
- Holiday allowance of 8% and end-of-year allowance of 8.3%; participation in a pension scheme.
- Non-Dutch applicants may qualify for a 30% tax-free allowance.
- Full-time entitlement of 41 days annual leave; maternity and parental leave.
- Possibility to work part-time (minimum 0.6 FTE) and flexible arrangements to exchange hours for free time.
- Starting date: Fall 2026 (exact date to be determined by mutual agreement).
