Wellhead Technician
Description
As a technical employee, you work in a multidisciplinary team on the installation, maintenance, and repair of wellhead equipment. You work primarily onshore in the Netherlands and partly from the workshop, on a rotation schedule together with P&A pre-work teams. Safety is central to the work.
Job requirements
- Technical secondary vocational education or similar.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience with wellhead equipment.
- Strong mechanical insight and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in oil & gas (preferably: P&A / well services).
- Good command of English.
- Flexibility in working hours and locations.
- Hands-on mentality and team spirit.
- Certificates or willingness to obtain them: VCA-VOL, gas measurement & H2S, confined space entry; forklift/aerial work platform and First Aid are a plus; driving licence (truck is a plus).
Tasks
- Installing and dismantling wellhead equipment (valves, flanges, etc.).
- Performing maintenance and inspections.
- Resolving malfunctions and technical problems.
- Supporting P&A and HWU operations.
- Securing and venting systems before work.
- Collaborating with engineers and other specialists in the field.
- Report on activities and technical status.
- Working in accordance with safety procedures, conducting risk analyses and inspections, and ensuring that work complies with applicable standards and guidelines.
