Description
As a Tender Manager, you are responsible for the entire tender process, from the analysis of tender documents to the submission of proposals. You are the central point of contact within the organization and work closely with Area Sales, Engineering, Product Support, Operations, Legal, and Finance. You combine commercial acumen, contractual knowledge, and technical insight to develop feasible and distinctive proposals.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional or university education, preferably in a technical or business field.
- Several years of experience as a Tender Manager, Bid Manager, Proposal Manager, or Project Manager within a technical project environment.
- Experience in drafting commercial proposals and contractual documentation.
- Affinity with technology and complex systems.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex documents and contracts.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Personal qualities: strategically and commercially strong; structured and accurate; connecting and collaborative; diplomatic but steadfast; proactive and focused on continuous improvement.
Tasks
- Analyzing RFQ, RFP, and tender documents and identifying commercial, technical, and contractual risks.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary tender teams and monitoring planning, quality, and progress.
- Drafting and compiling client-oriented tender documentation, quotations, deviation lists, and contractual proposals.
- Ensuring the timely, complete, and high-quality submission of tenders.
- Supporting client meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Representing the organization during commercial and contractual discussions.
- Continuously improving the tender process and increasing the efficiency and success rate of future tenders.
- Actively contribute to organization-wide processes such as Sales & Operations Planning, service contracts, and cash forecasting.
