Description
As an Energy Transition Advisor at the Municipality of Opsterland, you are responsible for developing and implementing projects aimed at energy conservation and sustainable energy generation. You work closely with residents, energy cooperatives, grid operators, and civil society organizations, translate policy documents into concrete actions, and provide advice to management and the Municipal Executive.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional education.
- Several years of experience in a similar role.
- Affinity with the energy and heat transition.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to switch between different stakeholders.
- Resilience and the ability to deal with opposition and conflicting interests.
- Proactive attitude and an open mindset for new ideas and methods.
Tasks
- Developing and implementing projects for energy conservation and sustainable energy generation.
- Supporting residents in making their homes more sustainable and informing them about subsidy schemes.
- Identifying bottlenecks, such as grid congestion, and collaborating with partners to find solutions.
- Maintaining contact with relevant stakeholders, such as energy cooperatives and grid operators.
- Drafting recommendations and memos for management and the Municipal Executive, including progress reports.
- Organizing and participating in meetings with colleagues and external partners to connect policy and implementation.

- A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position.
