Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you convert sold concepts into robust, workable technical solutions and contribute to the realization of mechanical modules and installations. You work closely with sales, project management, and operational production sites to resolve technical conflicts and ensure quality. The position offers great variety and a direct impact on sustainable processes and production lines.
Job requirements
- Higher Technical School (HTS) education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering (mid-level).
- Proficient with CAD systems and quick to master new software.
- Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Accurate, solution-oriented, and a team player.
- Willingness to work on location in Appingedam and occasionally provide support to clients.
Tasks
- Translating functional designs into technically feasible structures and complete setups.
- Designing and constructing parts and modules within modular basic designs.
- Adding custom mechanics and resolving technical conflicts in the design in consultation with colleagues.
- Aligning designs with sales and the customer, and assisting with technical decisions.
- Act as the technical point of contact for the executing organization during the realization phase and monitor quality assurance and feasibility.
- Collaboration and coordination within projects and modules.
- Time spent: approximately 50% design and modeling, 20% testing and validation, 15% analysis and optimization, 15% alignment and coordination.

Activities include research and development, design, test setups, assembly, commissioning, and support during realization phases.
