Sustainability Data Monitoring Advisor
The Sustainability Data Monitoring Advisor provides insight into sustainability performance and makes adjustments with data-driven insights.
Key tasks: collecting, analyzing, and visualizing ESG data and developing KPIs and dashboards.
Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an analytical field and at least two years of experience with data analysis.
Description
You play a key role in realizing sustainability ambitions by providing insight into performance and enabling the organization to make data-driven adjustments. In this role, you deliver analyses and visualizations that support strategic decision-making and assist with the implementation of monitoring and data management.
Job requirements
- Strong analytical skills and proactive, with the ability to translate data into concrete insights and advice.
- Completed higher professional or university degree in an analytical field (e.g., data science, business administration, finance, or environmental science).
- At least 2 years of experience with data analysis, reporting, and program or project support.
- Experience with Power BI and/or other data platforms.
- Strong Dutch communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Affinity with sustainability and preferably with the healthcare sector.
Tasks
- Collecting, analyzing, and visualizing sustainability performance (ESG).
- Developing KPIs, dashboards, and reports.
- Advising on and implementing data management systems and monitoring tools.
- Supporting strategic decision-making with data analysis and trend insights.
- Monitoring the progress, results, deadlines, and budgets of projects within the sustainability program.
- Identifying new data sources and applying innovative techniques, such as predictive analytics.
- Contribute to the implementation of legislation and regulations, such as the CSRD Directive.
Working conditions

You are part of the Sustainable UMCG team, which works on making the hospital more sustainable. Within the team, you collaborate with the Sustainability Manager, the Chief Green Officer, the Strategic Advisor, project leaders, and researchers, among others, and have close contact with colleagues from Strategic Analytics and the six sustainability themes.
