As General Manager for the Netherlands business region within the international Municipal Solid Waste Services (MSWS) business line, you are ultimately responsible for the continuity, growth, and professionalization of activities focused on the collection, processing, and treatment of household and commercial waste. You operate in a stakeholder-driven environment where public service, sustainability, and operational reliability are central, and you continuously navigate between operational steering and strategic forward thinking.

Job requirements

  • HBO or WO degree, for example Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Technical Business Administration.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in a similar sector, such as the (agricultural) industry or waste processing.
  • Strategic thinking combined with maintaining touch with operations.
  • Good command of Dutch and English.

Tasks

  • Collaborating with governments and businesses to develop solutions for the collection, processing, and treatment of household and commercial waste.
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders such as municipalities, provinces, and other public authorities within procurement frameworks.
  • Strategic alignment with internal and international stakeholders within the MSWS structure.
