Description

As an urban designer, you contribute to the organization and design of both urban and rural areas. You work on visions and assignments of varying size and type, and translate spatial choices into structural and design plans. The position focuses primarily on the housing challenge, quality of life, greening, accessibility, and social amenities.

Job requirements

  • Completed education at a minimum of higher professional education (HBO) working and thinking level in urban planning, or an urban planning program at an Academy of Architecture.
  • Ambition to complete the professional experience period (BEP/PEP) when applicable.
  • Work experience demonstrable with a portfolio.
  • Proficiency in placing design challenges in context and conducting spatial analyses.
  • Ability to clearly convey ideas in words and images and to inspire others.
  • Knowledge of and experience with (3D) digital drawing and layout programs, such as Vectorworks, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and SketchUp.

Tasks
