Electrical Engineering Trainee
Description
The Electrical Engineering Traineeship combines working, learning, and developing within Heijmans Services Drachten. You receive personal guidance, practical experience, and training that allows you to grow both professionally and personally. During the program, you will be introduced to roles such as work preparation, engineering, estimating, execution, and project management, and discover which role best suits your qualities.
Job requirements
- Completed MBO, HBO, or WO education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Technical Business Administration.
- Eager to learn and willingness to get to work.
- Open to feedback, asks questions, and shows initiative.
- Good communication skills and collaborative.
- Available for at least 32 hours per week.
Tasks
From day one, you are part of a team and make a visible contribution to real projects. You learn to switch gears quickly, work independently on assignments, and discover many different aspects of the profession in a short time.
Working conditions
- Contract for an indefinite period and terms of employment in accordance with the Construction and Infrastructure Collective Labour Agreement.

Description of the organization
Heijmans Services Drachten consists of two departments: Management and Maintenance and Modifications. In total, approximately 100 colleagues work here; around 75 skilled professionals in Management and Maintenance and around 25 employees in Modifications who carry out integrated projects and technical modifications.
The branch feels like a close-knit and committed group with short lines of communication, open and accessible collaboration, and mutual respect. As a team, they deliver technical solutions for a wide range of clients, such as municipalities, hospitals, museums, and educational institutions, and strive for smooth execution with minimal disruption.
