Do you get energy from connecting people, building collaboration, and setting local energy initiatives in motion? In this role as Regional Energy Development Coordinator, you are the link between residents, energy cooperatives, and municipalities, helping initiatives grow into sustainable partnerships with visible results.
Location: Groningen.
Job requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Working and thinking level equivalent to a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
- Demonstrable experience with area-based work, process facilitation, resident participation, network development, municipal cooperation, or social programs.
- Experienced process facilitator who easily connects with different people and is a good listener.
- Skilled in bringing parties together and converting consultations into concrete agreements and results.
- Providing calm and direction when interests diverge, and monitoring progress.
- Ability to work independently and maintain an overview of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to bring people along, motivate them, and encourage ownership.
- Administratively and politically sensitive, and skilled at making complex issues understandable.
- Willingness to open up difficult topics and hold agreements accountable.
- Affinity with resident initiatives, cooperative work, and the energy transition. Experience with energy cooperatives, municipalities, or heat and sustainability programs is a plus.
Tasks
- Facilitating collaboration between municipalities, energy cooperatives, and residents' initiatives.
- Setting up and facilitating Regional Roundtables and other meetings where parties work together on local energy challenges.
- Analyzing what an area needs and aligning the collaboration accordingly.
- Supporting participants in determining joint priorities, concretizing agreements, and monitoring progress.
- Encouraging ownership and collaboration without taking over participants' responsibilities.
- Identifying opportunities and bottlenecks and connecting local initiatives with appropriate programs, projects, and support.
- Translating signals from the region to colleagues, policy, and the further development of the program.
- Contribute to monitoring, knowledge sharing, and accountability together with colleagues.
Working conditions
- Annual contract with the intention of permanent employment.
- Leave: six weeks per year.
