Description

You will work within the Water business unit in a close-knit team of geohydrologists, hydrologists, and ecologists on projects for government bodies, drinking water companies, and developers. The focus is on issues related to nature restoration, water availability, impact analyses, and climate adaptation in urban and rural areas. Offices are located in Groningen, Zwolle, Eindhoven, Middelburg, and Arnhem.

Job requirements

  • Completed higher professional or university degree in civil engineering, physical geography, (geo)hydrology, or water management with an affinity for groundwater.
  • Preferably several years of relevant work experience in the geohydrological field.
  • Interest in making urban areas groundwater-resistant and in groundwater management in rural areas.
  • Hands-on approach, flexibility, proactive, curious, and eager to learn.
  • Fluent command of the Dutch language.

Tasks

You work on broad challenges related to climate, nature, desiccation, energy transition, and water availability. You focus on large-scale groundwater modeling and support senior advisors with modeling work, nature restoration projects, and geohydrological analyses. You delve into the geohydrological system and translate this into groundwater models to promote a healthy groundwater system and prevent negative effects such as salinization.
