General Manager for the Netherlands business region within the international Municipal Solid Waste Services (MSWS) business line. The role operates in an environment where public service, sustainability, and operational reliability are central. You assume ultimate responsibility during a pivotal moment and ensure continuity, stability, and charting the course towards growth and professionalization.
Job requirements
- HBO or WO degree, for example Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Technical Business Administration.
- At least 10 years of experience in a similar position.
- Experience in a similar sector, such as the (agricultural) industry or waste processing.
- Strategic thinker who maintains touch with operations.
- Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
Tasks
- Strategic alignment with internal and international stakeholders within the MSWS structure.
- Operational monitoring of performance, safety, and continuity of service.
- Consultation with private and public clients and partners within contractual and procurement frameworks.
- Identifying and capitalizing on opportunities in a changing market and legislation.
- Balancing operational management and strategic forward thinking.
- Provide direction and build a close-knit, results-oriented, and complementary management team.
- Create focus and clarity, set clear priorities, and translate strategic ambitions into concrete results.
- Drive performance, hold people accountable, and build trust to realize change.
