Description
Policy Officer Sustainability & Energy Transition at a local municipality in the Northern Netherlands. You work on current themes such as heat transition, climate adaptation, and local energy ownership. You contribute to realizing local sustainability ambitions and bridge the gap between strategy and practice.
Job requirements
- HBO or university degree, for example in urban planning, public administration, or environment.
- Experience with sustainability, energy transition or climate adaptation in municipalities.
- Political-administrative sensitivity.
- Good communication skills and the ability to motivate others.
Tasks
- Developing policy plans, such as heat visions and energy plans.
- Advising municipalities and administrators on energy transition, climate, and sustainability.
- Participate in projects such as solar parks and neighborhood-oriented approaches.
- Contribute to participation and communication with residents and businesses.
- Brainstorming and collaborating with colleagues and external partners inside and outside the town hall.
- Holding consultations, drafting recommendations for the Municipal Executive, holding discussions with residents, and coordinating with project teams regarding grant applications.
