Warehouse employee
The position focuses on warehouse management, order preparation, and customer contact.
Important tasks include receiving goods, inventory management, typesetting, and preparing orders.
Technical insight, physical effort, and a B driving license are required.
Description
You ensure that everything runs smoothly in and around the warehouse. You are the branch manager's right-hand person and contribute ideas on logistical, technical, and commercial matters. You work in a small, dedicated team where service and personal contact make the difference. As you advance, you will also take on tasks such as order processing, inventory management, and counter sales.
Job requirements
- Likes to roll up my sleeves and enjoys physical work.
- Technical insight; experience with metal or roofing materials is a plus.
- Customer-oriented, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Driving license B; driving license BE is a plus.
Tasks
- Receiving and checking goods and storing them logically and clearly.
- Collecting orders, preparing orders, and sometimes delivering to customers myself.
- Working with the bending machine and creating custom work from zinc, copper, and plastisol.
- Helping customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner in both the warehouse and the shop.
- Inventory management and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Prepare and process purchase orders for the own warehouse.
- Loading and unloading goods and checking and processing purchase orders.
- Prepare quotations and sales orders and invoice customers.
- Keep the workplace clean, organized, and professional, and share experiences with colleagues.
- Maintaining contacts and acquiring new clients; proactive thinking and problem-solving for clients.
