Conventional Machinist

What are you going to do?
As Conventional Machinist You will work in our well-equipped workshop on unique parts for industrial installations. You will machine metal workpieces using conventional lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinding machines. This often involves single pieces or small series, where your craftsmanship makes the difference. You will read technical drawings, independently determine the correct machining sequence, and ensure accurate dimensions. You will work with various materials such as steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals.
Your activities consist of:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work orders;
- Independently setting up and operating conventional lathes and milling machines;
- Clamping, aligning, and machining workpieces;
- Checking dimensions using measuring tools (such as caliper, micrometer, depth gauge);
- Machining workpieces according to the correct tolerances and surface requirements;
- Balancing workpieces to minimize vibrations;
- Performing minor maintenance on machines and tools;
- Consulting with colleagues or clients regarding deviations or technical challenges;
- Ensure a clean and safe workplace.

- A completed education in Machining or Mechanical Engineering;
- Demonstrable experience with conventional turning and milling;
- Knowledge of dimensioning, tolerances, and measuring instruments;

- A gross monthly salary between €3.300 and €4.700 (based on 40 hours), depending on your knowledge and experience;
